The Short Version

Some of the brands you see here are affiliates of Developers Digest. If you sign up or buy through one of those links we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. We only link tools we actually use, and a commission never buys coverage or a better review.

Where These Links Appear

Affiliate and referral links appear in two places: inside articles on this site, where a tool we use is named, and in the description of our YouTube videos. They are ordinary links - nothing is hidden behind a redirect you cannot see, and the destination is always the tool's own site.

An affiliate link never costs you more than going direct. In some cases the partner offers a discount or free credit through it, in which case you pay less than you otherwise would.

What A Commission Does Not Buy

It does not buy coverage, a recommendation, a ranking, or a kinder review. We write comparisons, benchmarks, and criticism the same way whether or not a commercial relationship exists, and we link primary sources so you can check the claims yourself rather than taking our word for them.

We link a tool only where we already recommend it, price it, or use it in our own stack. We do not add a link to a tool we are comparing neutrally, criticising, or migrating away from, because a link in those places would misrepresent what the piece actually says.

Where a piece is sponsored rather than independently written, it is labelled as such in the piece itself. That is a different arrangement from an affiliate link, and we do not blur the two.
