Write for Developers Digest
We publish guest pieces from developers building with models, agents, and coding tools. Contributing is free. Start with a short pitch, not a finished draft.
Who we publish for
Working developers who ship with LLMs: people choosing between models, wiring up agents, adopting AI coding tools, and deciding what is worth their time. They read to make a decision or to build something, so every piece should leave them able to do one of those.
What we want
Decision-grade comparisons
Two or more tools, models, or approaches tested on the same task, with the criteria stated up front and a clear call on when to pick which.
Hands-on builds with verified code
Something you actually built, with code that runs as written, versions pinned, and the parts that broke along the way.
Field reports
What happened when you shipped an agent, a model upgrade, or a new coding workflow to real users or a real team: numbers, costs, and trade-offs.
What we do not accept
- Paid links, link insertions, or pieces written to place a link. Paid placements go through sponsorships.
- AI-spun or padded filler. We edit for density and will ask for cuts.
- Anything about web search, scraping, or crawling products. That category is outside our lane.
- Promotional pieces for your product, employer, or client.
How it works
- Step 1
Pitch
Send a working title, a 3-5 sentence summary, and one or two writing samples using the form below.
- Step 2
Editor approves
An editor reads every pitch and replies by email. Most pitches are declined for fit or timing, not quality.
- Step 3
Draft
If approved, you write the full draft in Markdown or a shared doc, with working code and primary sources linked.
- Step 4
Edit
We edit for accuracy, clarity, and length, and may ask for changes or re-run your code.
- Step 5
Publish
The piece runs under your byline. The editor has final say and may decline at any stage, including after a draft.
What you get
- A byline and a short author bio with a link of your choice.
- Promotion in the Developers Digest newsletter when the piece fits that issue.
Links and disclosure
Every link in a guest post is editorial: it is there because it helps the reader, and we may add, change, or remove links during editing. We do not sell links in guest posts. Sponsored content is a separate arrangement and is always labeled as sponsored; see sponsorships. See our affiliate disclosure for how we handle commercial relationships.
