--- type: transcript date: 2025-02-26 youtube_id: 9Fs2ZFZ8B_o --- # Transcript: ChatGPT $200 Plan: Worth It? in this video I'm going to show you exactly what you get with the $200 a month plan from chat gbt I know a lot of people are on the fence they might have seen different bits and pieces maybe it's operator or deep research or the 01 pro model so in this video I'm going to give you a review of all of the different features and compare it to some of the features that you get from plus as well as the free tier all right so the first thing that I want to point out they do have a pro rated credits if you are an existing plus member which is nice so you don't have to go ahead and wait until the end of your subscription or eat the cost of you otherwise might have paid right off the bat after you refresh chat GPT what you'll have access to now is the 01 pro model which is the best model at reasoning at time of recording and then you also have access to operator and finally you have access to deep research first what I'm going to show you is operator this got a lot of attention this was open ai's first agent and what you're able to do with operator is direct the operator to perform tasks using a web browser you can say prompts for frequently repeated actions across websites and you can follow along and take control at any time one thing to knowe this is still an internal research preview even though it is available on the $200 a month tier now they mentioned that operator can make mistakes and that you should monitor to prevent errors operator uses a remote browser and retains screenshots of its actions so it goes without saying don't do anything illegal so on and so forth within here there are a number of different options that you can take so let's go ahead and select one of the preset options here I'm going to say find four tickets to the Kendrick Lamar concert in Englewood under $500 the first thing that you'll see if it's the first time that you're you're using this is the ability to turn on notification you can get notified when there's an update on your task the first thing that you'll notice is there is this web browser with in here you will see it will go through the different tasks it will click on the screen it has the ability to type just like a human would you can go ahead and expand this and see exactly what it is doing step by step here we see that it's going and it's selecting the number of seats and we can see exactly all of the different things that it's doing here we see our response here I found the tickets for the Kendrick Lamar concert in Englewood on May 21st at the Sofi Stadium they are priced at $218 each within your budget you can review the options here let me know if you need any assistance the cool thing with this at any point you can go ahead and take control here you see take control at any time to browse on your own or help operator complete task one thing to know with this that is pretty neat is that operator actually saves your site data and keeps you logged in across sessions you can pick up where you left off and manage this data within settings if you have multiple tabs and let's say you log in within StubHub just like you would have a session in a normal browser you'll be able to continue that in a separate browser if say you're looking for another concert So within here what you can do is I can go ahead and select the different options now one thing that I do have to note with this is this isn't going to feel quite as seamless as using your web browser it's slightly pixelated it does feel a little bit slower than using your actual computer but what's happening here is all of these results are running remotely on open AI server num and it's streaming in essentially the screenshots as they're taking place it is counting in every second but the refresh rate isn't quite as high as if you were going to be using your browser yourself you can always give it feedback as well and here I'm just going to exit to chat next I'm going to show you deep research but you can also use operator for research tasks as well if I say I want to find out the top stories related to Ai and development check the local llama subreddit we'll send that in now the reason I wanted to do this query is just to demonstrate that this is a multi-step process what it will have to do to accomplish the task is it will go and have to get the information from Hacker News once it has that it's going to have to find that subreddit and then return the information here we see that Hacker News website it searched for AI and development and we see it scrolling down the screen here to finish those results we see some of the top Ai and development stories all listed out here see it's navigating to Reddit but we see here is we've been blocked by network security just know that there are limitations depending on the site that you're using it can detect that you are using a bot to use the website and in this case what it's prompting us to do is to log into the browser to continue on now with that being said that doesn't necessarily mean that it is going to be foolproof it could still continually block you even if you authenticate because essentially what's happening there's a virtual machine might not have the same headers as a user using a typical website would all right so next what I'm going to show you is the 01 prom mode with deep research so if you're not familiar with deep research what you can do with it is you can give very specific instructions and it will go and it could spend potentially hours on generating a report for you about a particular subject on this I'll say I want to list out the top 20 text app Builders I want to see how much each of them have raised I also want to perform research on the Tam of the market and come up with some arguments Chin's Paradox both for and against and how these text to app Builders will affect the software engineering Market I want to see how much each of them have raised respectively I also want to perform research on the Tam of the market and come up with some arguments related to Jin's Paradox both for and against how these text app Builders will affect the software engineering market now the great thing with this is deep research does allow you to use basically whatever model you'd like so you can use the 03 model or alternatively if you want to use the strongest model you will be able to use 01 Pro if you're watching this video in the future and there are some model updates I would imagine that the chat GPT Pro tier will likely give you a model that you don't have available within the $20 a month tier and give a little bit of the carrot on the stick for users to upgrade within here it says to conduct thorough research I need a bit more clarification with nice with this before it kicks off it's going to ask us for some criteria do you have any specific criteria for ranking I'm going to say for ranking factor in the AR for each company if known as well as search traffic from here it's asking if I'm referring to no code or low code platforms or strictly AI based text app generators I'm going to say AI based text to app generators in terms of the funding rise I'll say Focus on all types of funding in this I'm going to say the aid driven development market and then for the preferred time frame I'm going to say 5 to 10 years then for jv's Paradox I'm going to say argument and summary I want to know how the text to App Market will affect software engineers and then finally I'm going to say I am interested in all impacts once we've kicked that off we see that will start to generate a response for us and then it will begin to start the research process here I will research the top 20 AI based text app Builders ranking them by AR search traffic and detailing their funding history additionally I will analyze the total addressable Market The Tam for the aid driven app development Market over the next 5 to 10 years if you click this little box here what's going to happen is you're going to have these sources that will compile as well as its activity as it begins to research things the different pieces will begin to stream in and show on this left hand side here the nice thing with this is it has the ability to agentically go through internet sources read the content search for different things that it might need but then it will also reason about that information based on the goal that you gave it here we see it's thinking through the developments it's searching for things it's parsing different websites that it went through and it's just going to go through this Loop until it finally gives you the response back just to show you what it looks like on the sources tab here we can see is going and finding different our es we can see that Gartner predicts 70% of new Enterprise apps by 2025 to be low code or no code notably by AI we're starting to see some information about the potential tan of 50 to 95 billion by 2028 within this I gave it a bit of a complicated task right there's multi-steps to it it has to perform pretty deep research the interesting thing with the reasoning is if it finds contradictory information it will go and investigate that that's the really neat thing with being able to have these sources and have access to realtime information effectively and be able to feed it into a reasoning model with the aggregate information of what it's already found one of the things that I find pretty interesting is actually even just this progress bar so I'm not entirely sure how they determine how long this takes or how close it is to finishing maybe it has an internal Sense on with each action how complete it is but the thing with this that's interesting it's one of those things where it's like could it get quite to the end and have a really difficult question that could take some time to continually research that's something I'm not quite sure about here is our research back this took 10 minutes for its task the top 20 AI based text to app Builders ranked by AR and search traffic here we see that the list ranks the 20 leading platforms that use AI to generate software applications from natural language now there's a ton within here that I haven't even heard of before Microsoft power apps has $2 billion in AR appion is another one that I've never heard of before this has $468 million in Revenue as of 2023 out systems quickbase mendex Builder AI these pretty much all of these tools that have generated this much AR are tools that I have actually never seen before the nice thing with how this works is you do have these nice inline citations here so you can go and check all of the different sources here and then for the funding for each of the companies we can see how much they have raised and which series that they're in we can see for Builder AI for instance they've raised $450 million and they're between a series A and D and within here we can see all of the other information as well so if you were to have someone to manually try and aggregate all of this different information this would definitely take hours if not days to be able to generate all of this information now in terms of the total addressable market for the AI driven app development space over the next 5 to 10 years we can see for Market size projections that it is 50 billion by 2028 others are suggesting as high as 95 billion by 2028 and statist to forecast about 65 billion by 20 27 some analysts project that the AI app development tools could be much higher this can go as high as over $22 billion by 2034 before I move on I want to thank today's sponsor brilliant.org brilliant takes a Fresh Approach to learning that perfectly complements these AI developments imagine a fitness center for your mind where every lesson makes you mentally stronger instead of sitting back you're diving in tackling challenging problems with Crystal Clear explanations research shows this approach is six times more effective than conventional learning methods their latest course on large language models especially caught my attention offering a comprehensive yet digestible exploration of AI technology you don't need to be a coding Wizard or an academic scholar to benefit from brilliant it's designed for anyone eager to enhance their analytical thinking and Brun their understanding of modern Concepts whether you're on a daily commute lunch break or evening downtime brilliant transforms spare moments into valuable learning opportunities head over to brilliant. or /d developers digest for a 30-day free trial plus if you join you'll receive 20% off your annual subscription the cool thing with this is right now at time of recording they give you a set number of queries per month I believe it's a 100 queries on the pro tier to be able to access deep research but you can ask for multiple things within one query that's just something to be mindful of if you're really trying to maximize the queries that you get out of this here we can see the impact of AI based text app builders on software Engineers it mentions that in particular entry level and routine code jobs are most at risk and that generative AI could potentially automate up to 300 million full-time jobs across fields in the coming years it's mentioned that new jobs and opportunities will emerge there's some really Nuance takes here like rather than hand coding every function software Engineers will increasingly work alongside with AI in essence Engineers become more of an architect curator and quality controller of software it's really nice scanning through the document because they do highlight some of these key points they have it nice and bolded here AI app Builders will likely reshape software development workflows teams and structures this democratization of app creation blurs lines between traditional roles within here you can take a look at the activity and you can also take a look at the sources now the other nice thing with this is you can also share this if I create a link for this and make it discoverable I'll put this within the description of the video if you're interested in checking this out last what I want to mention is you do get access to very liberal limits within Sora you will be able to have unlimited requests just touch on is the rate limits for the $200 a month plan and this is really where it's geared towards is those power users you're going to have unlimited access to the 01 models you're going to get everything within plus but you're also going to get unlimited access to the 01 models 01 mini the 01 Pro mode and then you'll also be able to have unlimited access to the audio only voice mode now you do have higher limits for both video and screen sharing in voice and one thing to note is the O Pro mode this is only available in the chat GPD Pro tier you can't get it on the API it is not available on the plus tier if you want the absolute best model out there this is going to be the only way that you can access this at time of recording and then finally you will have access to the operator research preview which at time of recording is only available within the us otherwise that's pretty much it for this video I just wanted to do a review and show you what the $200 a month tier gets you within chat GPT if you're on the fence considering whether it's worth getting it or not I think especially if you have coding specific tasks that you're interested in doing I've heard really good reviews from some great programmers that use the 01 pro model for various things that could be a use case but it's really dependent on what you're interested in doing deep research is obviously a potential very powerful use case and if you're a more creative type of person the enhanced availability within Sora is also potentially a really good option otherwise that's pretty much it for this video if you found this video useful please like comment share and subscribe otherwise until the next one
