What it means
The TUI render library (OpenTUI) shipped in v1.14.49 required glibc 2.29 or newer, so the TUI would not start on older Linux distributions.
Causes
- v1.14.49 introduced a hard dependency on GLIBC_2.29+ through the OpenTUI render library (#27419).
How to fix it
- Fix 1.
Upgrade. PR #27491 "deps: Upgrade OpenTUI to 0.2.10" was merged 2026-05-14, and a maintainer said "issues should be fixed in next release" (v1.14.51 was the next release). The maintainer added: "We pinned glibc 2.27, but we'll try to lower it to 2.17."
