What it means
A network request made by OpenCode failed to connect. Reports include the Ollama provider (#5344) and offline or intranet installs (#9788, #12083).
Causes
- The provider endpoint is unreachable from the machine running OpenCode (Ollama report, #5344).
- Offline or intranet environments with no outbound access (#9788, #12083).
How to fix it
- Fix 1.
Check the provider config OpenCode actually resolved, then refresh the models cache (maintainer, #5344).
Terminalopencode debug config opencode models --refresh - Fix 2.
Behind a proxy, set HTTPS_PROXY and bypass the proxy for the local server. The docs say this bypass is required because the TUI talks to a local HTTP server. Trust custom CAs with NODE_EXTRA_CA_CERTS.
Terminalexport HTTPS_PROXY=https://proxy.example.com:8080 export NO_PROXY=localhost,127.0.0.1 export NODE_EXTRA_CA_CERTS=/path/to/ca-cert.pem - Fix 3.
For offline environments, v1.1.30 made the models.dev domain configurable (PR #9258). Use the documented OPENCODE_MODELS_URL or OPENCODE_DISABLE_MODELS_FETCH.
Terminalexport OPENCODE_DISABLE_MODELS_FETCH=true
