Notes and caveats
- OAuth is recommended; for CI or automation, pass a Cloudflare user or account API token as a Bearer token (tokens with Client IP Address Filtering are not supported; account tokens need Account Resources : Read). ?codemode=false registers one tool per endpoint (about 244k tokens instead of about 1k).
- Results are capped at about 6,000 tokens unless ?truncateToolResult=false.
- Also serves Cloudflare skills over the MCP Skills extension. /sse URLs are aliases for the same Streamable HTTP handler, not the deprecated SSE transport.
- Cloudflare deprecated its older product servers (AI Gateway, Audit Logs, AutoRAG, DNS Analytics, GraphQL, Logpush, Observability, Radar, Workers Bindings, Workers Builds) in favor of this server.
- Docs also offer the cloudflare/skills plugin (Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add cloudflare/skills) which bundles the MCP servers.
- Some features need a paid Workers plan.
