The dg CLI (deepctl) includes a built-in MCP server that proxies tools from the Deepgram developer API so AI coding tools can call Deepgram speech-to-text, text-to-speech and voice agent APIs. Runs over stdio by default or SSE. It runs locally from deepctl (pypi) with API key auth.

- Docs say the remote service owns the tool list, so tools are not enumerated.
- SSE mode: dg mcp --transport sse --port 8000.

- Deepgram's page offers a .claude/mcp.json JSON variant identical to the generic config; its global 'claude mcp add deepgram --scope user --command dg --args mcp' command is omitted because claude mcp add has no --command or --args options, so it fails as written.
