Swift SDKs - 19 providers checked

Official Swift SDKs for AI APIs

2 of 19 AI API providers ship an official Swift SDK: Google and Amazon Bedrock. Anthropic also ships one but labels it beta. 1 provider links a community library, which is not official. 5 providers' docs list no Swift SDK.

Verified against each provider's own SDK docs and package registry pages. Status labels are the provider's own; no version numbers are recorded.

Compare every language in the provider by language grid.

Official SDKs3

Providers that ship their own Swift SDK, including those they label beta.

Anthropic

Official, labelled beta

Not a full Messages API client. This is a Foundation Models integration: it plugs Claude into Apple's Foundation Models API, and Anthropic files it under libraries and integrations, not client SDKs.

Package
ClaudeForFoundationModels
Install
Install
.package(url: "https://github.com/anthropics/ClaudeForFoundationModels.git", from: "VERSION")

VERSION stands for the version the docs pin. Pin the current release from the package registry.

Notes
Not a general-purpose Messages API client: the overview files it under 'Libraries and integrations', which 'expose Claude through another framework's API surface. They are not general-purpose Messages API clients.' It plugs Claude into Apple's Foundation Models LanguageModelSession API. Version replaced with VERSION.

From the docs

Beta. This package targets the Foundation Models server-side language model API introduced in the OS 27 betas. APIs might change during the beta.

Google

Official SDK

Firebase AI Logic, not the Gen AI SDK. Google points Swift developers to Firebase AI Logic, which needs a Firebase project.

Package
FirebaseAILogic (in firebase-ios-sdk)
Install
Install
In Xcode: File > Add Package Dependencies, add https://github.com/firebase/firebase-ios-sdk and choose the FirebaseAILogic library
Repo

Docs

Notes
Not the Gen AI SDK: Google points Swift developers to Firebase AI Logic, a Google-owned client SDK for calling the Gemini API from apps (requires a Firebase project). Install text paraphrases the Firebase steps; Firebase says 'The library is included as part of the Firebase SDK for Apple platforms (firebase-ios-sdk).'
