lookup_weather- Return current conditions, hourly forecasts, and daily forecasts.
compute_routes- Return route distance and duration for driving or walking routes between two locations.
resolve_names- Resolve a batch of location names or addresses to specific place entities on Google Maps.
resolve_maps_urls- Resolve a batch of Google Maps URLs to specific place entities.

Notes and caveats
- Billed per request under Google Maps Platform pricing (Resolution API calls at no charge); requires billing enabled.
- Terms restrict use to LLMs that do not train on or cache Maps content, and responses carry attribution requirements.
- API key via X-Goog-Api-Key header or OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/maps-platform.mapstools.
- Only a Gemini CLI command is documented for clients.
