Developer platforms - official Graphite server

GT MCP server

A local MCP server built into the Graphite CLI (gt) that lets AI agents create stacked pull requests, splitting large AI-generated changes into smaller, reviewable stacked PRs. It runs locally from @withgraphite/graphite-cli (npm); the notes below cover how it authenticates.

Notes and caveats

  • Docs say GT MCP is in beta and some workflows may not be fully supported.
  • Requires gt CLI 1.6.7 or higher; GT MCP beta shipped in CLI 1.6.7 (2025-07-09).
  • Runs with the gt CLI's existing Graphite authentication; the docs do not list individual tools.
  • The docs page also offers a one-click Cursor deeplink.
  • Graphite's Mintlify docs site also answers MCP requests at https://graphite.com/docs/mcp, but no Graphite page documents it.
