AI and ML platforms - official IBM server

ContextForge MCP Gateway

Open source registry and proxy from IBM that federates MCP servers, A2A agents and REST/gRPC APIs behind one MCP-compliant endpoint with auth, rate limiting, observability and an admin UI. It runs locally from mcp-contextforge-gateway (pypi); the notes below cover how it authenticates.

uvx --from mcp-contextforge-gateway mcpgateway --host 0.0.0.0 --port 4444

Notes and caveats

  • A gateway rather than a product-specific server; tools are whatever upstream servers and APIs it federates. stdio is available for server-side use.
  • License shown via the repo badge (GitHub API not reachable in this pass).
  • From IBM's official catalog (github.com/IBM/mcp), the GDP and GCM servers were excluded as unmaintained MVPs, and the Storage Insights and Power Virtual Server repos were excluded because they state they are not officially supported by IBM; HashiCorp, DataStax, Docling and Langflow servers listed there belong to separate projects.
