Obsidian is my second brain and the operational backbone of DevDigest. My vault contains: daily journal entries, video research notes organized by video, scripts for every video, a content calendar, and a performance dashboard tracking 332 videos with 5.6M total views. Everything is local markdown files synced via iCloud. Bidirectional wikilinks connect videos to research to scripts. I also use Claude Code to automate vault operations - generating notes, updating dashboards, and managing the pipeline. No subscription required for core features.

Models: No built-in AI model. Notes are plain Markdown files in a local vault, so external tools and community plugins can read and edit them; first-party add-ons are Sync, Publish and the Web Clipper browser extension.
Recent changes: Oct 5Desktop 1.14.4 goes public: open individual Markdown files from outside the vault, Quick Look previews on macOS, a kanban view and Group menu for Bases, and six highlight colors. Needs the latest installer (Electron v43.7.5).
Oct 5Mobile 1.14 goes public with Quick Capture on iOS 26 from the Lock Screen, Control Center, widgets or Shortcuts, plus text that scales with the system text size.
Aug 101.13.6 public release reworks the settings window, improves Undo close tab, and moves the installer to Electron v43.3.0.
