CRM and sales - official Close server
Close MCP server
Close's remote MCP server gives AI clients access to Close CRM data. It can search and fetch leads, contacts, opportunities, activities, tasks, templates and workflows, and can create, update or delete them depending on the granted scope (mcp.read, mcp.write_safe or mcp.write_destructive). Close hosts it at https://mcp.close.com/mcp with OAuth or API key auth.

Notes and caveats
- Supports HTTP Streamable transport and OAuth 2.0 Dynamic Client Registration.
- SSE is not supported.
- Custom setups can authenticate with an OAuth app, or with the Close-API-Key and Close-Scope headers.
- Scopes are tiered, and each higher scope includes the tools of the lower ones: mcp.read is read-only; mcp.write_safe adds the create tools (the vendor describes this scope as creating and updating data, but its published tool list holds only create_* tools); mcp.write_destructive adds the update_* and delete_* tools, for example update_lead and delete_lead.
- The Claude Code command is copied verbatim from the vendor page, including its unusual backtick-and-escape quoting around CLOSE_API_KEY; the docs tell you to set CLOSE_API_KEY in the shell first.
- The Cursor entry is the vendor's one-click deeplink, which decodes to {"url":"https://mcp.close.com/mcp","type":"streamableHttp"}.
- The VS Code snippet goes in settings.json; the leading "..." is the vendor's own placeholder.
- Claude connector-library access needs a paid Claude plan, though Claude Desktop free users can add Close from the connector browser. n8n supports only the mcp.read scope.
- An official ChatGPT app also exists.
- Hosted only: no public repo.
