Notes and caveats

  • Setup requires creating an MCP connector under Development > MCP Connectors to obtain a client ID and secret; the client must support OAuth with PKCE.
  • Docs give no client-specific install snippets.
  • If the account has Sensitive Data turned on, activity and conversation data are blocked through the MCP server.
  • Tool availability varies by subscription and permissions; AEO tools need Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise; revenue objects and quotes are in beta; some content tools (manage_website_page, manage_blog_post, render_asset) are only available in select clients (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini).
  • Separate from the local HubSpot Developer MCP server.
