- In Claude Code the docs say to run /mcp and authenticate in the browser when prompted.
- The authenticated endpoint https://docs-mcp.cockroachlabs.com/mcp needs a CockroachDB license key sent as an Authorization: Bearer header and is only for self-hosted customers; a new license can take up to 24 hours to activate.
- Tool names are not documented and no availability status is stated.
