Tools

list_endpoints
Discover Fivetran API endpoints by category or search term.
get_schema
Return parameters, request body and response schema for an endpoint, optionally with service-specific config fields.
connections_read
Execute read endpoints in the connections group (one generated <resource>_<action> tool per allowed pair).
connections_write
Execute write endpoints in the connections group, such as sync_connection.
destinations_delete
Execute delete endpoints in the destinations group.

As documented on October 17, 2026. A running server reports its current list through tools/list.

Notes and caveats

  • Published in Fivetran's official GitHub org (MIT, copyright Fivetran); the latest GitHub release is v0.5.1, published 2026-10-06, and pyproject.toml is already at 0.5.2.
  • No support level is stated, and a November 2025 Fivetran blog post said Fivetran did not then have an officially supported MCP server.
  • Not on PyPI under this name: the fivetran-mcp and mcp-fivetran PyPI names belong to unrelated projects, so install from the git URL.
  • Uses a Fivetran API key and secret; FIVETRAN_SCOPE defaults to read, and the README recommends a DISALLOWED_ACTIONS denylist for credential endpoints.
  • Execution tools are generated per resource/action pair, so the tool list varies with scope.
  • Streamable HTTP mode takes Basic auth per request; OAuth resource-server mode is not yet functional.
