Content and CMS - official Ghost server
ghst CLI MCP server mode
Ghost's official ghst CLI has an MCP server mode, run over stdio or local HTTP, that exposes Ghost Admin API tool groups (posts, pages, tags, members, comments, settings, stats, social web and more) to MCP clients. It runs locally from @tryghost/ghst (npm) with API key auth.

Notes and caveats
- Ghost staff announced ghst as a developer beta (March 2026), and the README says it is pre-1.0 and not yet stable.
- It runs locally: install with npm install -g @tryghost/ghst, then sign in with ghst auth login using a Ghost staff access token.
- HTTP mode example from the README: ghst mcp http --host 127.0.0.1 --port 3100 --tools posts, tags, site --auth-token token-123.
- HTTP mode binds to loopback by default. --tools picks tool groups: posts, pages, tags, members, comments, site, settings, users, api, search, socialweb, stats.
- Social web tools need an Owner or Administrator token.
- Ghost Core has no built-in Admin API MCP endpoint; a May 2026 forum proposal for one is community-authored.
- Separately, docs.ghost.org/mcp serves a read-only docs search MCP (Mintlify-generated) that no Ghost docs page documents.
