Notes and caveats

  • Works on all Miro plans including free; Enterprise admins must enable the MCP Server before users can connect (disabled by default).
  • Server is team-specific: select the team containing the board during OAuth.
  • OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration; tools are subject to usage and daily limits.
  • Legacy board_list_items, context_*, layout_*, diagram_* and doc_* tools were removed in favor of the canvas_* SVG tools; table_* tools are marked deprecating soon.
  • The current docs page carries no beta/GA label; an older noindexed intro page describes it as Beta.
  • Claude Code snippet is the plugin install from the main docs page; the older intro page also documents claude mcp add --transport http miro https://mcp.miro.com.
  • Cursor (marketplace plugin), VS Code (GitHub MCP registry) and Codex (ChatGPT plugin directory) are documented as one-click installs without config snippets.
  • The repo holds plugins, skills and config, not the server source; it has no tagged releases.
