Install

Terminal
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http temporal-docs https://temporal.mcp.kapa.ai

Notes and caveats

  • Publicly available but requires a one-time MCP OAuth login with a Google or GitHub account for rate limiting; clients without MCP OAuth support may need a stdio proxy.
  • Hosted on kapa.ai infrastructure.
  • Temporal publishes no official MCP server for operating workflows: the 'Temporal MCP Server' on Temporal's Code Exchange is a community project (GethosTheWalrus/temporal-mcp) that Temporal says it does not formally support, and the Coinbase server described on Temporal's blog is Coinbase's internal build.
  • Temporal also ships agent skills and plugins for Claude Code, Cursor and Codex.
