Notes and caveats
- Beta, rolling out to select broker partners.
- Sandbox endpoint is https://broker-api.sandbox.alpaca.markets/mcp with its own OAuth client; sandbox and live credentials are not interchangeable.
- Only Broker Dashboard super users (manage_keys entitlement) can authorize the OAuth connection.
- Production is read-only during beta.
- Does not work yet if the correspondent has IP filters configured.
- Claude Code install continues via /plugin: install the alpaca-broker plugin from the alpaca-plugins marketplace.
- Cursor install is via the same alpacahq/agentic plugin marketplace.
