Notes and caveats
- Separate from the remote MCP server built into Phoenix 19.0.0+.
- Arize's docs mark this stdio package as being in maintenance mode: it still gets bug fixes, but new capabilities land in the built-in Remote MCP Server, and Arize says to use this package with Phoenix versions that don't serve the /mcp endpoint.
- Latest npm version 4.3.16 (2026-10-09).
- Documented as a generic mcpServers config for Claude Desktop, Cursor and others; the README also offers a Cursor one-click deeplink.
- The package does not include docs search; Arize points to the separate Phoenix Docs MCP for that.

Phoenix Remote MCP server
MCP server built into Arize Phoenix at the /mcp path of any Phoenix instance, letting agents read and act on traces, spans, datasets, experiments and prompts through Phoenix's REST API, plus read-only SQL and GraphQL queries. By default it exposes code-mode tools that search the operation catalog and run sandboxed Python that chains operations.
