Notes and caveats

  • Production URL https://mcp.docusign.com/mcp; demo (developer sandbox) URL https://mcp-d.docusign.com/mcp.
  • Requires an OAuth access token from Confidential Authorization Code Grant or JWT Grant, using your own Integration Key and client secret with client-specific redirect URIs.
  • Workflow Builder and Agreement Manager tools require a Docusign IAM subscription; production connectors currently support seven API groups.
  • Docusign's blog states the MCP Server is generally available; some newly released tools reach custom connectors first during a preview phase.
  • Claude Code setup is documented as UI steps (custom connector in Claude settings), and the GitHub Copilot page's only mcp.json sample puts the demo URL under a "command" key, which is not a valid remote config, so install snippets are null.
  • Only the three developer capabilities are listed here; per-API tools are grouped by API on the docs page (the Claude Code guide names examples such as getAllAgreements, triggerWorkflow and getTabGroups).
