Notes and caveats

  • Not published to npm; install by cloning and building (npm install, npm run build), then run npm run auth for the OAuth handshake.
  • Requires an app on the Intuit Developer Portal; production needs a public HTTPS redirect URI for the first authorization.
  • Write, update and delete tools can be disabled via QUICKBOOKS_DISABLE_* env vars.
  • License conflict: the LICENSE file is Apache 2.0 while the README says MIT.
  • Separately, Intuit offers a hosted QuickBooks connector inside Claude (US customers only) for reports, transaction import, invoices, estimates and payment links, but Intuit does not publish a public MCP URL or setup for other clients.
