Install
Shopify publishes no copyable client config for this server. Point your MCP client at https://catalog.shopify.com/api/ucp/mcp. Setup steps are in the vendor's docs.
Tools
search_catalog- Search for products across all Shopify merchants (text, image or similar-item queries).
lookup_catalog- Look up products or variants by identifier.
get_product- Get full product details with variant selection, pricing and seller checkout links.

Notes and caveats
- Requests must include a UCP agent profile (meta.ucp-agent.profile).
- Authenticated requests use a JWT Bearer token from Dev Dashboard Catalog client credentials and are rate limited to 5 requests per second per API client by default; anonymous access to catalog tools is allowed at lower limits.
- Personalized search requires a buyer-linked token.
- Some response fields are marked Inferred (generated or enriched by Shopify).
- No MCP client config snippets documented; Shopify points to the UCP CLI and the AI Toolkit ucp skill.
- Transport not named explicitly (JSON-RPC 2.0 over POST).
