- OAuth sign-in with no API key; leave client ID and secret fields empty.
- Val Town recommends its plugin (claude plugin install valtown@claude-plugins-official, or /plugins in Codex) over the MCP-only setup, since the plugin adds platform skills; do not add both or you get duplicate connections.
- The Codex command adds a plugin marketplace and the plugin is then installed from /plugins.
- The Codex IDE extension does not support plugins, so use the remote MCP URL there.
- The MIT-licensed GitHub repo holds the plugin and skills package (@valtown/skills 0.4.0), not the hosted server's source.
- The docs do not publish a tool list.
