Hosted MCP server that lets AI agents manage Webflow sites through the Data API, including pages, elements, components, styles, variables, CMS collections and items, assets, forms, scripts and publishing. A companion MCP Bridge App connects a live Designer session for selection, navigation and visual snapshots. Webflow hosts it at https://mcp.webflow.com/mcp, or you can run webflow-mcp-server (npm) locally with OAuth or API key auth.

Notes and caveats

  • Available on all Site plans, including the free Starter plan.
  • Remote server uses OAuth; the MCP Bridge App installs automatically during authorization and must be open in the Designer only for live-session capabilities (snapshots, selection, navigation, breakpoints).
  • Enforces Webflow roles and records agent changes in the site activity log.
  • Local mode (npx webflow-mcp-server@latest with a WEBFLOW_TOKEN API token) requires registering and publishing your own Bridge App.
  • Webflow also runs a separate Beta MCP server for experimental tools and offers Cursor, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT and Slack connectors/plugins.
  • Generic snippet is the Windsurf mcp_config.json from the docs.
  • The GitHub README still shows older /sse URLs; the developer docs use /mcp.
  • Some tools require add-on products (AEO, Analyze, Optimize, Enterprise).
