Notes and caveats

  • Available to all users on all plans at no extra charge; calls count against standard Airtable API rate limits, and record creation is capped at 10 records per request.
  • Auth is OAuth with Dynamic Client Registration by default, a static OAuth client for orgs that want to allowlist one client, or a Personal Access Token sent as Authorization: Bearer.
  • Enterprise admins may need to allowlist the integration.
  • MCP can draft automations, but they must be turned on in the UI.
  • It cannot edit Script actions, add Interface filters or edit existing Interfaces.
  • Airtable warns that tool names, behaviors and capabilities may change.
  • The Claude Code page recommends the official plugin instead (claude plugin install airtable@claude-plugins-official), which bundles the server with skills.
  • The 2026-08-10 Airtable article announced interface and automation building; no formal release log or public source repo.
